It’s no secret that the immigration process can be complicated, especially when you are unfamiliar with the laws and regulations that govern the procedures for entering and remaining in the United States. Fortunately, the process can be made infinitely easier when you have an experienced legal professional on your side and acting on your behalf.

With more than 40 years of collective experience working in this field of law, we are intimately familiar with the rules and regulations that pertain to immigration laws, and we are prepared to use this knowledge for the benefit of our clients.
Follow these tips!
Our firm is made up of lawyers , all of whom are acutely aware of the laws that govern immigration practices in the country. Accordingly, we know how to best address immigration issues of every nature, and we are here to help ensure that our clients are successful in their efforts to obtain citizenship, seek a visa, and avoid deportation.
Throughout our years of experience, we have developed a number of best practices which have proven to be extremely helpful for many of the clients that we’ve represented since beginning our practice. Below, you can find some of the top tips that we’ve found to be most effective for many of the immigration matters that are frequently brought to our attention.
File multiple immigration visa petitions
If you are applying for a green card or even an immigration visa, you may be able to do so through the petition of a family member. In fact, more than one family member can be used for the petition process assuming they are eligible. The more family members that you have petition for you, the more options you will have in the event that one of your applications is denied or delayed for too long.
Keep copies of your application(s)
Unfortunately, the USCIS has developed a reputation for losing paperwork. As such, it is extremely important that any individual going through the immigration process make copies of his or her application paperwork. In addition, all applications should be sent to the USCIS through certified mail, and a return receipt should be obtained. If you have copies of the documents, then you can provide them to the USCIS should your paperwork be lost for any reason.
Notify the USCIS any time your address changes
Any immigrant who remains in the U.S. for more than 30 days is required to notify the USCIS of an address change that occurs after that time. The notification must be presented to the USICS within 10 days of the change of address. Additionally, a separate notification must be provided for each member of the family, children included. A change of address notification can be completed online or by mailing in the Form AR-11.
Always be on time to your appointments with the USCIS
The immigration process can be extremely lengthy, and applicants can experience excessive delays. When an individual arrives late to his or her appointment(s) with the USCIS, the tardy can result in even more delays to the process. In extreme cases, arriving late for a scheduled appointment with the U.S. consulate or embassy, immigration court, or even the USCIS, can even result in an immigrant’s deportation. For a process that operates on time-sensitive deadlines, it’s imperative that you too are timely in your arrival to appointments of any nature.
Avoid violating any immigration visa provisions / laws
Even the smallest violation of an immigration visa provision or law can result in deportation. Accordingly, it is extremely important that all immigrants are fully aware of the requirements expected of them during the process of applying for a visa, green card, or work permit. These laws must be followed to a tee in order to prevent possible deportation.

Reno, 1997 U.S. Dist. Lexis 3016, *5 (S.D.N.Y. 1997).
Getting your immigration case together is much more complicated than simply filing paperwork into the right places.
